A clear path from start to finish
Every project starts with a complimentary visit to your space. We assess it firsthand and prepare a clear phased proposal with recommendations on how to approach it.
This is where the vision becomes a plan. 3D renderings, floorplans, material and furnishing sourcing, and construction drawings trades can build from.
We handle scope writing, permit applications, budget planning, and trade sourcing so nothing is left to chance when construction begins.
We coordinate trades, run the schedule, and make on-site decisions so you don’t have to. The project ends with a final walkthrough and a finished space that feels right in every detail.
Hi, I’m Shaylah
I founded Agio & Ardito in 2021 after spending decades in the industry and my childhood on job sites with my father, a general contractor. I saw good projects go sideways when no one was managing the whole picture. I built this studio to bridge that gap.
My background spans construction estimating, real estate, and project coordination. It means I sit between designer, builder, and client—connecting decisions so projects stay aligned from concept through construction.
I care about what we build and what we build with. We prioritize natural materials that last on this coast and respect the place we call home. As a proud Tribal Parks Ally, we are committed to the stewardship of Tla-o-qui-aht territory and the living systems that thrive here.

Common questions
Early is always better. Even if you don’t know where to start—especially if you don’t—getting a designer involved upfront prevents problems before they start.
Permits take time and good trades book up quickly. The sooner we’re involved, the more we can shape the project in your favour.
We work with a range of budgets. We offer phased pricing so you can start where it makes sense and build from there, rather than doing everything all at once.
When it comes to furnishings and finishes, we’ll guide you through options at different price points and help you decide where it’s worth investing and where you can pull things back.
You can just work with a contractor and in some cases, that works fine. The difference is that contractors focus on building what’s already been decided, while we take care of the decision-making that happens before and throughout the build.
There are a lot of choices in a project—materials, layouts, finishes, details—and it can get overwhelming quickly. We know what to recommend and why, which makes the decisions easier and keeps the project on track and on budget.
Because of our experience working across construction, design, and project coordination, we know how decisions play out on site. That means fewer surprises, less back-and-forth, and a calmer, more controlled process.
